Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) depends on the area a person specializes in and has a flair for. If you are looking to obtain Canada's PR in 2022, you need to know that the easiest PNP depends on each person's eligibility criteria. It is not truly one size fits all.

Launched by the government of Canada, PNP's objective is to welcome immigrants to arrive and settle in provinces where there are particular skill shortages. The PNPs also empowered provinces/territories to select migrant candidates who have the aptitude and proficiency in contributing to each province's/territory's economic growth.

Each province or territory under the PNP has its own specific streams that aim to select immigrants of particular categories. The provinces and territories that participate in PNPs offer 80 nomination streams to immigrants. A prospective immigrant who wants to apply through the PNP for a PR has to zero in on that province which would offer him/her the apt stream that fits that person's criteria or work experience. The expertise and knowledge of those persons will also need to be suited to that market's needs. People who find proper fits need to apply through a specific PNP to get a PR visa.

In all, Canada's nine provinces and two territories participate in the PNP.

Barring Nunavut and Quebec, all others participate in the PNP to provide a provincial nomination. On the other hand, Quebec invites aspiring migrants through its unique program known as the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP).

Certain PNPs are associated with the Express Entry system. Provinces having these PNPs are allowed to nominate a particular number of candidates under the Express Entry system that would fulfill their local skill needs.

Candidates who get a PNP nomination from a province through the Express Entry pool get 600 points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) from a cumulative of 1,200.

By getting these additional points, there are assuring their profiles of obtaining an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the forthcoming draw of the Express Entry Pool.

If they want, provinces/territories are allowed to add any other qualifications for the immigration streams of their areas.

Different PNPs

Based on a province, eligible candidates for joining the Express Entry pool can apply in the pool initially and then get a nomination from a province or territory or get a province's nomination before opting to join an online Express Entry pool by completing their profile and later making an entry into the Express Entry stream.

For instance, the Alberta province nominates candidates from the Express Entry stream, Alberta Opportunity Stream, and Self-employed farmer stream. British Columbia allows immigrants under Skills Immigration Express Entry BC and Entrepreneur immigration programs. Manitoba invites candidates under streams of Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, and International Education Stream.

New Brunswick allows immigrant candidates to apply for its PNP under entrepreneurs, international graduates, skilled workers with employer support, and skilled workers under the EE stream. Newfoundland and Labrador province allows immigration candidates under Express Entry, skilled workers, international graduates, and entrepreneurs. Nova Scotia invites immigrants to apply under Express Entry, skilled workers, and entrepreneurs' classifications. Ontario, meanwhile, allows candidates only under Human Capital Priorities Stream.

Prince Edward Island opts to invite immigrants under Express Entry Entrepreneur and International graduates' streams. Saskatchewan invites candidates under Express Entry and Skilled worker Occupation In-Demand streams. Finally, North West Territories and Yukon allow candidates under employer-driven and business, and foreign workers and business nominee streams.

The PNP had invited, in 1996, only 233 candidates, and now the admission target for 2022 has been fixed at the figure of 86,000.

From 2022 to 2024, Canada is all set to welcome only through the PNP more than 260,000 new permanent residents.

Canada PR's easiest PNP

If a PNP applicant has not yet got a job offer, then she/he can select from the following streams:

The Human Capital Priorities stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program has three categories: Express Entry-linked, and candidates applying for it must have an active Express Entry profile, besides recognized work experience to get through in this stream.

For another option, they could check out Saskatchewan's International Skilled Worker Category, where there are two streams not requiring candidates to have job offers. One is the Saskatchewan Express Entry-linked stream that requires applicants to look for profiles active in the Express Entry system to be able to apply. Alternately, under the Saskatchewan Occupation In-Demand stream, applicants need to have a minimum of work experience of one year in one of the positions that the In-Demand Occupations List of Saskatchewan lists.

Technology workers can opt for PNP streams such as the Ontario Human Capital Priority Stream and British Columbia's Tech Pilot stream. To qualify for the Ontario Human Capital Priority Stream, individuals need work experience in any one of the six designated technology occupations. On the other hand, the BC Tech Pilot program needs applicants to have a job offer from one of the 29 technology occupations designated.

Potential migrants who have completed their studies or work experience in one of the provinces or territories can quickly obtain a PNP nomination. It is applicable for candidates under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and the Manitoba PNP's Skilled Worker Overseas streams.

Applicants with proficiency in French are better placed than others in getting a PNP nomination under the Express Entry-linked Ontario PNP's French-Speaking Skilled Worker program.

Conclusion

To sum it up, the easiest PNP to a PR visa will depend on the skills and work experience of the immigrants. They have to carefully opt for the appropriate stream based on their talents and experience to obtain PR visas.
