Family-based Immigration

The close relatives must be at least 21 years old and a citizen of the U.S. or a permanent resident of the USA.

There are two types of family immigrants’ visas –

The U.S. student visa is particularly for foreigners who wish to pursue their education in the country. There are two major student visa options –

  • F-1 Visa: The F-1 visa is the most preferred student visa for individuals who wish to study in the U.S. Candidates who want to join the 9th grade or above can apply for the F-1 visa.

  • Language proficiency: Must score at least 320 GRE points and a score of 6.5-7.0 in IELTS.
  • Work experience: Must have prior work experience of a minimum of one year. 
  • Job offer: There is no mandatory requirement for a job. You can migrate with or without an employment offer.

  • Confirmation page of the DS-260 Application Form.
  • Medical certificate

  • Age Limit: People between the ages of 14-79 must attend the USA via interview.
  • Wait times: The approximate time for the U.S. visa appointment can be within three months of the NVC’s acceptance of the submitted requirements.
  • Length: The total time for the U.S. visa interview can be 2-3 hours.
  • Passport return: Approval and accepted applications can take 7-10 days to be processed.
  • Best Time: The best time to schedule or book an appointment is three months prior to the planned travel date.
