Reasons for cancelations or withdrawals of PNP nominations

Applicants can get the PNP nominations cancelled if the candidates do not meet or fulfil the requirement criteria. The cancellation process is mainly done before the applicants are approved for Canada PR.

The two significant reasons for cancellation are as follows:

Reason for cancellation

British Columbia

Failure to apply for PR before the nomination expiry date.

Ontario

Failure to demonstrate proof of intention to reside in Ontario

Manitoba

Failure to demonstrate proof of intention to reside, work, or start a business in Manitoba

Saskatchewan

If the nominee requests for a withdrawal or if the approval of PR is through a different immigration program

Nova Scotia

If the spouse/ law partner or dependent is found to be unfit to migrate to Canada

New Brunswick

Failure to submit a written request to revise a nomination before the expiry of the nomination or lack of providing proof of intention to reside in New Brunswick.

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL)

Failure to update the officials of any changes in the application (Birth of child, change in marital status, employment changes, a decision on a work permit)

Northwest Territories (NWT)

Failure to apply for PR within six months of nomination
