To ensure that international students do not miss the initial days of their studies in the UK, the British authorities have started priority and super-priority student visa processes.

The UK officials stated that students heading to the country this fall can avail of the priority and super priority visas to address high demand.

The announcement for the new UK student visa was made on the first week of August.

Cost of The New UK Student Visas

The application fee for a priority visa is an additional 500 Pounds to the student visa fee and a decision is made within 5 days.

The application fee for a super-priority visa is an additional 800 Pounds and the decision is made in 1 day.

The waiting period for the UK student visa is 15 days, although some applicants have been waiting for more time than that.

Documents required for the Visa

The documents required for the visa are enlisted below:

• Offer letter from the university
• CAS
• TB certificates
• Proof of funding

If you meet the eligibility requirements you can opt for the 'priority service' when applying for the student visa. It costs an extra 500 Pounds for the student visa application fee. The time starts from either the day your appointment was finalized or the working day after you have submitted your documents.

If you want to have a decision by the next working day, you can opt for the "super priority service".

The UK has issued a record number of student visas until June 2022. It expects to issue more in the next academic year.
