Britain had already decided on implementing a points-based system for UK immigration post-Brexit. Now, the country has added more detail to the system with new provisions for graduates and health workers.
Post Brexit EU and non-EU workers will be subject to assessment using the same system. No ceiling will be set on how many people can qualify under the scheme. With advanced qualifications or willingness to work in one’s field that has worker shortage in the UK, a worker who even has a salary below the current going rate or £25,600 for their job can apply to enter the UK.

The applicant must get a score of 70 points or more to qualify to enter the UK.
Besides the normal immigration route, there are other visa schemes that can be used to enter the UK. These include a Health and Care Visa for essential health professionals. The scheme provides cheaper and faster processing. Also, come summer 2021, international students who complete a master's degree or undergraduate course could stay in the UK for 2 years. Those completing a Ph.D. could stay for 3 years.
