UAE citizens can now travel visa-free to South Africa

UAE citizens are now eligible to travel visa-free to South Africa. The visa-waiver applies to all UAE passport holders including ordinary, diplomatic, mission and special passports. As per the Dept. of Home Affairs, South Africa, the UAE has been recently added to the visa-waiver list. Effective from 15^th August, UAE citizens can now travel visa-free to South Africa. UAE citizens going to South Africa will be allowed to stay in the country without a visa for up to 90 days. Ahmad Sari Al Mazrouei is the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE. He says that the inclusion of the UAE in the visa waiver list of South Africa depicts the strong ties between both the countries. It also highlights the prominent global status that the UAE has achieved. He also believes that the visa waiver will also open up new horizons for UAE citizens, as quoted by the Gulf News.
