The USCIS completes H1B selection for the fiscal year 2023

The announcement of the completion of the H1B CAP selection process for the fiscal year 2023 was recently made by US immigration officials. Instead of assigning case numbers or a receipt notice to registrants, the USCIS issues status updates on the US employer’s portal that’s visible next to each registrant’s name. Registrants who get selected will have a status namely “selected” beside their names. If the status is shown as “submitted”, it means that they weren’t selected during this process of initial selection. After a registrant gets selected Registrants who get selected will have time between April 1, 2022, and June 30, 2022, to file their petitions. Also, the premium processing of H1B CAP petitions in 2022 will happen as allowed by the USCIS. In case the H1B CAP petition gets approval before October 1, 2022, the registrant’s H1B visa status be effective on or after October 1, 2022. This depends on the method of filing the application. The opportunity for registrants not selected In 2021, USCIS completed 3 selection rounds. The USCIS confirmed that the H1B visa selections were done on February 28, 2022.
