• The UK doubled the number of work visa visas by granting around 337,240 work visas to health and care workers in 2023.
• Stats report a 91% hike in visas given to individuals employed in health and care sectors in the UK.
• Around 60% of the total 146,477 visas were for workers providing care in people’s homes and residential care homes.
• 73% of the total 279,131 visas were allotted to dependents of immigrants from the health and care sector.

Net Immigration hits record in the UK.

Around 337,240 work visas were issued to health care and care workers in the UK in 2023, recording a 26% hike compared to 2022. Data reports a 91% jump in the health and care sector visas.  

Among the 146,667 visas reserved for health and care workers, 60% were for care workers in residential and people's homes. The family members of the workers were given nearly 73% of the total 279,131 visas within the health and care bracket.
