Available In-demand jobs under the New Immigration plan

• The provinces and territories of Canada have job opportunities with in-demand roles.
• Ottawa has promised employers to accommodate more skilled workers to facilitate jobs.
• Some of the in-demand jobs are listed below:
• Long-term care aides
• Software engineers
• Teachers
• Web designers
• Personal support workers
• Nurse aides
• Mechanical engineers & technicians
• Electrical engineers & technicians
• Tourism workers and hospitality workers
• Truck drivers & delivery service drivers

The eligibility criteria and processing modes will also be more flexible for other displaced individuals who require a certain level of international protection to apply.

The EMPP pathway to have a 6-month application processing time

• Fraser discussed the possibility of altering the applications' processing time to 6 months without the program needing to tie up with the PNP.
• The IRCC is set to announce detailed information about the pathway, including its eligibility, requirement, and other essential criteria, in the coming days.

• The details regarding the latest immigration pathway will be released on the official webpage of EMPP.

•  As per the 2023-2025 Immigration plans –

• Ottawa has planned to on-board a target of 465,000 new PR individuals
• Canada is keen on welcoming 485,000 new PR by 2024 and 500,000 by 2025.
• 45 million New permanent resident candidates will be accommodated by Canada in the next three years.

• As per the statistical and demographic services agency, 855,890 jobs were left untaken in Canada by the end of 2022.
• The new pathway to be introduced under the EMPP will provide numerous and equal employment opportunities for immigrants and refugees in the country.
