About Occupation In-Demand Stream

The OID (Occupations In-Demand) program is meant for those immigration candidates who possess educational qualifications and work experience in an occupation considered in demand. This is similar to the Express Entry stream of SINP where the candidates have their profiles in the Express Entry candidate pool. Occupations eligible for selection have to fall under the following NOC (National Occupational Classification) Matrix levels:

  • NOC A: occupations that usually need a university education
  • NOC B: occupations that usually need college education/apprenticeship training
  • NOC O: management

Candidates under the OID won’t have a job offer from an employer in Saskatchewan though they are highly skilled in an in-demand occupation.

To file an application for this sub-category of Saskatchewan PNP, applicants have to submit an EOI (Expression of Interest). Eligible candidates will get invited to apply for a provincial nomination. Their chances of receiving an invitation depend on the scores associated with their EOI profile.
