What is SINP?

The SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program) is a way to immigrate to Canada. Through this program Saskatchewan:

  • Invites applications for residency from non-Canadians willing to settle in Saskatchewan
  • Nominates successful immigration applicants to Canada’s federal government for Canada PR.

When you immigrate to Canada via a Canadian province, the SINP comes into the role by selecting the best candidates they need and nominates them for Express Entry draws. In this case, the candidates also need to have their profiles in the Express Entry candidate pool.

Along with a nomination, every approved applicant is granted 600 extra CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) points that will promote their opportunities for a chance to apply for permanent residency through the Canadian Immigration Commission of IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada).

Benefits of SINP

SINP offers Canada immigration applicants the following benefits:

  • Competitive processing times of applications
  • Assistance from immigration officers at the provincial level who can explain the requirements

The Saskatchewan government makes the final decision on nominations issued by SINP. When successful candidates who received a nomination apply for Canada PR status with IRCC, they will be considered SINP nominees.

Meeting the program criteria is necessary for you to apply to the SINP. You have to fill up your applications completely and factually. You must also provide all valid documentation required.
