This was the third draw held by Quebec in 2021. Quebec has its own immigration programs that have selection criteria that are different from Canada’s federal immigration programs. However, the final decision regarding Canada immigration is taken by IRCC.
About Arrima portal
Arrima is Quebec’s own system of managing application intakes for the RSWP. It was started in 2018. The intake system Arrima manages is an upgrade from the erstwhile “first come first served” system.
Any candidate aged 18 or above, interested in immigrating to the Canadian province of Quebec must first create his/her EOI profile in Arrima. Thus, a candidate enters the pool of candidates from where MIFI invites the most qualified candidates.
Such selection will be based on the current requirements in the labor market. The candidate’s ability to integrate into the society of Quebec is also assessed.
Candidates applying to immigrate to Quebec will have 60 days to do so by submitting a complete application for immigration. They will also have to remit the required fees along with submitting all other necessary documents.
Quebec aims to welcome up to 47,500 new immigrants in 2021.
