IRCC allows PTE score to migrate to Canada

IRCC has made an announcement that PTE score will also be approved for Canada immigration. Now there are 5 tests out of which are for English and 2 are for French language proficiency. These tests are:

• IELTS
• CELPIP
• PTE
• TEF
• TCF

Candidates need to have a minimum CLB score for language proficiency. The language proficiency criteria for study permits are different. Applicants have to go for the academic version of the test. No details for acceptance of PTE score has been revealed but it may be done by the end of 2023.

IRCC has the aim that applicants should get the minimum score for English language proficiency to apply for a Canada PR visa. Canada has around 100 pathways was for immigration and they require English language proficiency as an eligibility criteria.
