What is the processing time for the QIIP in Canada?

The average processing time for the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP) in Canada is around 12 to 44 months. Why is there such a huge gap in the timelines? That is because the processing time depends on the country that you are applying from. North America, South America, and Western Europe sees shorter wait times. You may receive a Visa in as less as 12 months if you have applied from any one of the countries here. You will experience much longer wait times if you apply from countries like China, Hong Kong, and Macau. The process time for these countries may be as high as 44 months. QIIP is an immensely popular investor program in Canada. That is because it is the only program which can get you a PR through passive investment. The QIIP in Canada does not require you to start your own business venture. As per The Guardian, QIIP will accept applications between 10^th September 2018 and 15^th March 2019. The program will accept a maximum of 1,900 applications. Out of this, 1,235 applications have been reserved for Hong Kong, China, and Macau. The remaining 665 applications will be accepted from the rest of the world. Eligibility for QIIP If you are interested in the QIIP, you would need to meet the below eligibility criteria:

1. Applicants should have legally acquired a personal net worth of at least $2 million
2. Applicants should have at least 2 years of business or management experience in the recent 5 years
3. Applicants need to make an investment of at least $1.2 million. The investment is passive and guaranteed by the Quebec Govt. The investment has to be made for a period of 5 years and during this time it will bear no interest.
4. Applicants will need to demonstrate the intention to settle in Quebec
