Prince Edward Island conducted its newest PNP immigration draw on February 18, 2021, inviting 121 fresh immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR.
The PEI PNP issued invites to candidates in the following manner:
The minimum number of points required of the candidates was 82.
The PEI PNP invites candidates who are skilled and qualified for the jobs that are open in their labor market, waiting to be filled. An enhanced PNP, PEI PNP aligns itself with the Express Entry system of the Canadian government.
The Express Entry system manages the applications for Canada immigration received from immigration candidates. They are those who applied for 3 economic-class immigration categories namely, CEC, FSTP, and FSWP.
The profiles that immigration candidates create with Canada Express Entry stays in the Express Entry pool that is ranked by CRS. The basis for the ranking is a score that’s determined by factors such as education, age, work experience, and proficiency in English and French language,
With a nomination earned, as the candidates of this PEI PNP draw got, the candidates will have 600 CRS added to their existing score. This increases their score to a level that guarantees them to receive an ITA in an upcoming federal immigration draw.
For a provincial nomination from PEI, EE candidates must create an EOI profile that they submit to PEI PNP. These profiles are ranked and given scores on the basis of a unique points grid maintained by the province. Candidates who score the highest get invited to apply via monthly PNP draws.
PEI PNP didn’t disclose the details of the invitation. Neither was the minimum EOI score stipulated for each category revealed.
The Labor Impact category caters to foreign nationals with a valid job offered in PEI. They will be supported by their employer in PEI with whom they will work in Canada. The category has 3 streams namely:
