PEI PNP draw invites 161 immigration candidates, offers nomination

Prince Edward Island conducted another round of invitations on August 19, 2021. 161 immigration candidates were invited through PEI PNP to apply for a provincial nomination.

Labor Impact and Express Entry candidates received most of the invitations. They received 152 invitations. Business Impact candidates received 9 invitations. These candidates were required to have a minimum of 72 points in the PEI PNP system.

Through this 8^th PEI PNP draw held in 2021, the total number of immigrants invited to PEI province has reached 1,194. The candidates that PEI handpicks based on their skills, experience, and other qualities are expected to meet the demands of the province’s labor market.

The next PEI PNP draw is expected to take place on September 16, 2021.

The advantages of provincial nomination for Express Entry candidates

If you have an Express Entry profile, and you are found by a Canadian PNP as a suitable candidate for that province, you will be invited to apply for a provincial nomination.

If you applied for a provincial nomination, you get 600 extra CRS points. It raises your chances of getting selected to receive an ITA for Canada PR in a federal immigration draw.
