Prince Edward Island issued 150 invitation in its latest draw conducted on 21st March.
The 150 invitations were issued in the below categories:
PEI Express Entry
Business Impact: Work Permit
Labour Impact
PEI has issued 440 invitations for a provincial nomination this year.131 invitations were issued through the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams. 19 invitations were issued through the Business Impact: Work Permit Stream.
Candidates who have received an invite through the EE and Labour Impact streams can now apply for a provincial nomination.
Entrepreneurs invited through the Business Impact category can apply to obtain a letter of support to the PEI PNP.
Candidates in the EE pool who want to apply for a PEI nomination need to submit a separate EOI with PEI PNP. The profiles are scored out of 100 on factors like work experience, education, language proficiency etc. Highest-scoring candidates are invited in monthly draws conducted by PEI PNP.
The PEI Labour Impact Category is not linked with the Federal EE system. It consists of 3 Expression of Interest-based streams:
Skilled Workers (In Canada and in PEI)
Critical Workers
International Graduates
Candidates applying under the Labour Impact category need to have a full-time offer of employment from the province.
Foreign entrepreneurs who wish to set up their business in PEI can apply through the Business Impact: Work Permit Stream.
The Business Impact Stream works on an EOI basis. The lowest-scoring candidate in the 21st March draw had a score of 110, as quoted by CIC News.
