From July 21, 2020 Ontario will accept applications to the Employment job offer: Foreign Worker stream. The OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program) may place the applicants under this stream in a priority queue. Once the limit has been reached, the system under Canada immigration will automatically stop any further submission of registration.
Those who are applying for this stream must get to the OINP e-filing portal from the government’s web page, where they should click on the button labeled “Submit an application”.
For submitting applications, the OINP recommends not to use a mobile phone. The application process takes close to 3 hours to complete.
This stream had opened for a day on March 3, 2020. But some technical issues caused a pause in the intake process and the application window closed on the same day.
To be eligible for this stream, the candidates must have a job offer from an employer in the province of Ontario. Those living abroad as well as candidates living in the province can get to the Foreign Worker Stream.
The applicants must submit the most recent versions of the Employer Form as per Ontario PNP instructions. If the latest form isn’t submitted, it could be returned as incomplete.
The OINP has also done a revision of Section B of the Employer Form. Presently, it indicates whether the business of the employer is compliant now under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Ontario Employment Standards Act 2000.
It’s important to have the employer review the information given in the Employer Form. It will help avoid unwanted processing delay of the application.
