On December 15, 2020, Ontario conducted a PNP that invited 668 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR.
The NOIs issued by OINP were targeted at candidates who may qualify for the HCP stream under Express Entry. The candidates are required to have submitted their profiles in the federal Express Entry system.
The minimum CRS score required of the invited candidates was between 460 and 468. The NOIs were sent to these candidates from the Tech Draw. They were required to have at least a year’s work experience in any of the tech occupations as given below:
Those candidates who received NOIs have 45 calendar days to apply for a provincial nomination. Upon receiving anomination, the candidate will get extra 600 CRS points which will ensure that they get ITAs in an upcoming federal Express Entry draw.
The CRS score is determined by considering factors such as age, education, work experience, and proficiency in English or French language.
Ontario PNP’s Tech Draws get their candidates from the Express Entry pool. These candidates are skilled and eligible tech workers. The Canada Express Entry system maintains a collection of candidate profiles as it manages applications from candidates for Canada’s economic-class immigration programs. These are FSWP, FSTP, and CEC.
The Ontario Tech Draw is a great pathway for tech-skilled candidates to become permanent residents in Canada with the chance of settling into technology careers in the province.
