Ontario opens the path to 443 skilled foreign workers

In the latest PNP draw conducted by Ontario, Ontario PNP invited 443 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination from the province. The draw was held on November 12, 2020. The invites went to Express Entry candidates who needed a CRS score between 469 to 477.

Requirements for eligible candidates

CRS score between 469 and 477 Work experience in a specific list of occupations

List of Occupations

NOC 0111 - Financial managers NOC 122 - Professional occupations in business management consulting NOC 0601 - Corporate sales managers NOC 3124 - Allied primary health practitioners NOC 0124 - Advertising, marketing, and public relations managers NOC 3132 - Dieticians and nutritionists NOC 1114 - Other financial officers NOC 3012 - Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses NOC 1111 - Financial auditors and accountants

The chosen candidates were invited by Ontario as they had a chance of being eligible for the Human Capital Priorities Stream of the Ontario Express Entry system. The candidates who got a provincial nomination will be awarded 600 extra CRS score points which guarantees that they will get an ITA for Canada PR in an upcoming federal Express Entry draw.

The invited candidates have 45 calendar days to submit an application for a provincial nomination.

 

Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream

Purpose

It allows OINP to nominate candidates from the Express Entry pool for Canadian PR.

Eligibility

Candidate must meet eligibility requirements for one of Canada’s Federal High Skilled immigration programs viz. CEC or FSWP. Candidate needn’t have a job offer in Canada but must have work experience in a full-time paid job of at least a year’s duration. A part-time equivalent experience within 5 years of application is also accepted. The candidate may have international or Canadian work experience.

The process
Eligible candidates get ranked on the CRS based on human capital factors like age, work experience, education, and language skills inFrench or English.	With a provincial nomination, the candidate will get 600 extra points on their CRS score.	The candidates who scored the highest are issued ITAs for Canada PR via bi-weekly draws.	Upon receipt of ITA, the candidates can apply for PR.
