The UK government is making sure that foreign students can study and find jobs in the country amid the COVID-19 crisis.
The UK government has now extended eligibility for a post-study work visa to even those students who enrolled in their classes online for university courses. As per the new decision, international students on UK student visas who were present in the UK before April 6, 2021, will be eligible for the 2-year Graduate Route. They only have to meet all the requirements of the Route, and it doesn’t matter the student began his/her course online before reaching the country.
The foreign students in the UK will soon be able to apply for a Tier 4 student visa. After the COVID-19 spread, many universities shifted to online classes owing to travel restrictions and pandemic prevention measures. However, the students are choosing to defer to 2021 to enroll in the January batch as they are yet to be fully confident about the online model of study.
The reassurance this move is giving to international students is immense. Surely, it will influence the migration scene for those willing to study in UK.
