On November 1, 2022, a Nova Scotia PNP draw was conducted, the results of which have been released. A total of 12 Canada immigration candidates were issued invitations to apply for a provincial nomination to immigrate to Nova Scotia in Canada.

About Nova Scotia Entrepreneur Stream

The Nova Scotia Entrepreneur stream is meant for immigration candidates who have experience in owning a business or handling a senior management position. It’s necessary that they live in Nova Scotia with the intention of either buying an existing business or starting a new business and actively taking part in the daily management of that business.

When you immigrate under the Entrepreneur stream, you will first be issued a temporary work permit. This will be prior to your applying for Canada PR after running your business in Nova Scotia for a year.

Requirements to qualify for Entrepreneur Stream

  • You must be aged at least 21.
  • You must have the intention to live in Nova Scotia permanently while taking ownership of and actively managing a business in Nova Scotia.
  • You must have a minimum net worth of CAD600,000.
  • Your minimum investment in a business in Nova Scotia should be CAD150,000. This will be to purchase/set up a business in the province.
  • You must have one of the following:
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in actively owning (minimum ownership of 33 percent) and managing a business
    • More than 5 years of experience in the role of a senior business manager.
  • You must score at least 5 on the CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark) in all abilities in English/French.

About Nova Scotia International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream

This provincial immigration stream is similar to the Nova Scotia Entrepreneur stream. This stream, however, targets only recent graduates who have completed their studies at a Nova Scotia university or a community college in Nova Scotia. It's necessary that they have purchased or started a business in Nova Scotia and run it for a year on a PGWP.

Requirements to qualify for International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream

  • You must have the intention to live in Nova Scotia permanently while being in ownership of and actively managing a business in the province.
  • You must have continuous experience of at least a year in owning your current business in Nova Scotia (ownership of 100 percent) and actively managing it.
  • You must have completed a diploma/degree including at least 2 full-time academic years of in-person study at a university in Nova Scotia or a community college in Nova Scotia.
  • You must have a PGW permit that’s valid.
  • You must score at least CLB 7 for all language abilities in English/French.
