The provincial government of Nova Scotia has financed the program to retain international students and offers detailed information on programs of immigration pathways through a new virtual app, that is, the iCent. It is a customized immigration coaching app.
The iCent app offers students detailed information pre-arrival and provides support to international students about pandemic guidelines and updates.
The goal of the new program is to help interested international graduates gain Canada PR and stay in Nova Scotia for a longer time.
Nova Scotia's new program aims to attract international students to the province and boost immigration. This in turn would help in recruiting more healthcare workers and address the ongoing labor shortage.
Earlier this year, funding of more than 1 million CAD was given to the province for health care.
