The Canadian province of Newfoundland & Labrador is starting a new PNP stream for international students and highly skilled foreign nationals willing to work in Canada in the tech sector. The new stream will start in 2021.
There’s a growing demand for highly skilled tech workers among the tech industry employers in Newfoundland & Labrador. The new pathway that will meet this demand will be Priority Skills Newfoundland & Labrador.

With the new PNP stream, the province aims at getting more newcomers with great talent, fresh ideas, and a growth perspective.
The travel restrictions imposed by Canada due to COVID-19 has not dampened the ambition of the province to meet its immigration targets for 2022. Currently, the province is aiming at increasing immigration to 2,500 new Canada PRs annually.
