An impactful move was made in the US immigration scope affecting international students, The US President has asked the students to leave the country if their courses are done fully online. The only option students have otherwise is to shift to schools that have in-person classes.
Specifically, the US ICE (Immigration & Customs Enforcement) issued a statement addressing the non-immigrant M1 and F1 visa students attending schools that operate completely online. They were told that they needn’t take a fully online course and hence stay back and study in USA.
The US has also decided to stop issuing visas to those students whose colleges offer completely online courses. This will be implemented later this year.
