Manitoba issued 205 invites (LAAs) to Canada immigration candidates in its latest PNP draw held on November 5, 2020. The MPNP sent invites to skilled workers and international graduates via 3 immigration streams namely:
The LAAs were issued as follows along with their minimum EOI score requirements:
Of the total LAAs issued, 7 went to Express Entry candidates. These chosen candidates must have a job seeker validation code, a valid Express Entry ID, and experience in a job in Manitoba’s in-demand occupations that’s verifiable.
Only candidates from the Skilled Workers Overseas stream were considered in this draw if they were invited directly under a strategic recruitment initiative.
The reasons for candidates not getting LAAs even after scoring higher than the minimum ranking could be:
Candidates in one of these scenarios can get their EOI profile updated with the correct information to be considered for the next draw.
Candidates working in a regulated job got invited via this draw. The Manitoba PNP holds the power to refuse applications from candidates who aren’t actually working in an occupation that’s regulated. The refusal of applications could also be done to those who don’t give proof of having completed all steps of licensing to be an employee in Manitoba.
The total number of LAAs issued in 2020 this year reached 4,273 after this PNP draw.
