All applicants to the MPNP (Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program) who are filing applications under the Skilled Workers Overseas stream have to show that they have an established connection to Manitoba. • Previous education or work experience in the province
• An ITA (Invitation to Apply) issued directly by the MPNP to the applicant as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative

• Live-in caregivers currently residing in Canada
• Refugee claimants, or persons involved in a federal appeal or removal process
• Spouses of Canada permanent residents or Canadian citizens
• TFWs (Temporary Foreign Workers) currently working and living in a Canadian province other than Manitoba
• Persons who faced refusal by the MPNP within the last 6 months and individuals not able to address the reason(s) for refusal
• Persons who have an active application for immigration with any other federal immigration program or provincial immigration program in Canada.
