Manitoba invites 207 new candidates to apply for its nomination

Manitoba sent invites to 207 immigration candidates on February 12, 2021, to apply for a provincial nomination. In the fourth draw of MPNP in 2021, international graduates, as well as skilled workers, were invited via the Canada immigration streams of:

• Skilled Workers Overseas
• Skilled Workers in Manitoba
• International Education

The LAA and EOI scores required of the selected candidates were as follows:

• Skilled Workers Overseas – 21 LAAs – Min. Score: 698
• Skilled Workers in Manitoba – 158 LAAs – Min. Score: 457
• International Education – 28 LAAs – Min. Score: Not applicable

Express Entry candidates got 5 LAAs in this draw. Express Entry system manages skilled worker applications and their profiles. Via the IRCC, immigration candidates can obtain an invitation for Canada PR by applying directly to the Express Entry.

Another way of receiving an invitation is when a province in Canada like Manitoba invites the immigration candidates who are in the Express Entry pool. These candidates have their profiles in the Express Entry pool being ranked based on the CRS score. The CRS score is assigned by taking into consideration factors like work experience, age, education, and skills in the English/French language.

Candidates who score the highest get the first chance to receive invitations to apply for a Canada PR visa via regular Express Entry draws. With a nomination from a Canadian province, the candidate gets an additional 600 CRS points in case the candidate gets a provincial nomination from a PNP. With that many points, the candidate is assured of receiving an ITA from IRCC in an upcoming draw.

Immigration candidates who are looking to benefit from Manitoba’s provincial nomination must first register an EOI with the MPNP. With this, the candidate will stand a high chance to get an LAA via immigration streams like Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba.

These candidates are ranked by Manitoba out of 1,000 points for their human capital factors that are considered for CRS scoring along with the factor of the candidate’s connections with Manitoba.
