There are 9 regions participating in the Subclass 489 Visa Program in New South Wales in Australia. Central West, which is one of the Regional Participating Authorities, has said that visa applications are currently being assessed. Applicants will be notified of the outcome through email by the RDACW. The Skilled Occupation List of Central West, in the meanwhile, will remain closed till 31st January 2019.
RDACW is currently reviewing the Skilled Occupation Listed of Central West. It may reconsider the assessment procedure of Subclass 489 (Skilled Regional Provisional) Visa for 2019. The occupation list for Central West will be reopened in March 2019. The list, as well as the revised selection criteria, would be updated on the official website.
Central West stopped accepting applications for the Subclass 489 on 21st August 2018.
Each of the 9 Regional Authorities participating in New South Wales’ Subclass 489 program has their own criteria for selection. The list, application process, and fee are unique to each region, as per SBS News.
