British Columbia held a PNP draw on October 27, 2020, issuing 354 ITAs through the Skills Immigration and EEBC streams.
Candidates were issued ITAs under the sub-categories of Entry-level & Semi-skilled, International Graduate, and Skilled Worker. The minimum score required of the candidates who got selected was as follows:
BC holds weekly draws via the province’s various PNP categories and the streams under them. The largest PNP draw of 2020 held by BC as yet was held on September 29, 2020. In that draw, 450 ITAs for a provincial nomination were issued.
For candidates to apply for Skills Immigration or EEBC categories, they must first create a profile online under BC PNP’s SIRS. The applicants’ profiles are evaluated and given a score based on factors like work experience, education level, employment location, and language proficiency in English.
Upon approval, the provincial nomination the candidate gets can be used to apply for Canada PR. This is done with the IRCC under the PNP.
Those candidates who get a nomination from BC will be granted 600 extra points towards their CRS score. These candidates are in effect guaranteed an ITA in an upcoming federal EE draw.
