Canada offers various immigration pathways for accountants to migrate to Canada. As an accountant you can consider common immigration pathways such as Express Entry and the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
Before that check if you are eligible for migration to Canada using the Y-Axis Canada eligibility points calculator.
Express Entry: Under the Express Entry program, you can opt for the Federal Skilled Worker Program or FSWP. Based on the information you supply, a Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) is given to you, and you are placed in a pool of applicants. Draws are then held on a regular basis, with applicants chosen from the pool depending on their CRS. However, you must first be qualified for the Federal Skilled Worker Program. The following are the eligibility and scoring criteria:
Age
Experience
Education
Language Skills
Arranged Employment
Adaptability
Provincial nominee program: You can apply for provincial nomination through two ways. In the first, you will make an Express Entry expression of interest in the province where you intend to live and work. If the province deems your skills are a good match for their needs, they will offer you a provincial nomination, which will provide you 600 of the total 1,200 points you need on your CRS, allowing you to move up the candidate pool.
The second option is to go to the Canadian government's website and create a profile for the province in which you wish to live and work, as well as submit an expression of interest right away. You will be invited to the province right away if your skills are required.
Atlantic immigration pilot: If you wish to move to Canada, your CRS score is too low for the Express Entry System, or you think getting an ITA will be problematic, the Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP) is for you. Permanent residency under AIP is available to applicants having a valid full-time employment offer under NOC 0, A, B, or C.
The AIP was established to assist the Atlantic provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island in dealing with workforce shortages. As a result, you will be eligible for permanent residency with any full-time job offer.
