Third-country nationals chose Citizenship of Ireland as their top pick when asked about their European citizenship preferences. The reason behind this is the advantages provided to the citizens of Ireland as compared to other European countries.

Irish passport allows the holders to travel to 111 countries visa-free and 32 countries without a passport, making it the top choice for non-EU residents.
