There is good news for international students who want to study in France.
The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has decided that international students who need to travel to France for their studies can do so from July 1, 2020.
French consulates, even the abroad ones, will start to process visa and residence permit applications on priority from July 1.
The fresh move regarding students willing to come to France on France study visa was taken by Christophe Castaner (Minister for Europe & Foreign Affairs), and Jean-Yves Le Drian (French Minister for Europe & Foreign Affairs).
France has also announced that France will progressively start to open its external borders towards Schengen areas from July 1. This will be done in line with the recommendations of the European Commission.
The border opening decisions will depend largely on the health situations in third countries and in conformity with the European procedures issued at that time.
France is going to allow international students to enter its borders, no matter what their countries of origin are. Their visa and resident permit applications will be processed on priority.
