According to a recent survey, international graduates earn more on average than their Canadian counterparts. International student graduates from the University of Waterloo reportedly get higher salaries than Canadian-born graduates and Canadian-born university grads nationwide. The University of Waterloo is one of Canada’s top universities, with the 115th position on the QS World Rankings 2025. The university’s Technology and Engineering-based study courses and co-op program attract students worldwide.
The economists at the University of Waterloo conducted a thorough survey to conclude the findings in the latest report.
The factors that were considered for the study are as follows:
International students who graduated between the years 2017 and 2019 earned an average of 37% more than their Canadian counterparts. After 12 months of graduating, international students earned around $57,500, while Canadians could only make $42,000 per year.
