The Self-employed Persons Program in Canada permits individuals to work as self-employed people in Canada and migrate permanently. Individuals interested in applying for this program must have the following qualifications:

Ability to meet medical, security, and other criteria
What is relevant experience?
You have relevant experience if you have:
A self-employed person's relevant experience includes a minimum of two years of experience. This expertise should have been gained at least five years before the date of your application and ending on the day of approval of your application.
If you have three, four, or five years of experience, you will earn extra points. At the very least, you must have the following experience:
A one-year term as specified in (a) above, plus one year as described in (b).
Criteria for selection
You must meet the self-employed selection criteria, which requires a minimum of 35 points out of 100.

You must meet the relevant experience, intention, ability, and significant contribution criteria to apply for this program.
If a person has five years of self-employment experience, they will obtain the minimum 35 points required and not require points from the other categories. In English and French competence, any claim made by an individual about their level of proficiency must be backed up by accepted test results, such as IELTS General or CELPIP for English and TEF for French.
