Step by Step procedure to apply for Global talent visa in FY: 2022-2023

The steps to apply for Global Talent Visa of Australia are given below:

Step 1: Submission of Expression of Interest

The candidate has to submit an EOI or expression of interest through the form of Global Talent Expression of Interest.

The EOI form and all the other related documents should be in English. The application package contains various documents for the EOI and translations of all the other documents in other languages.

The necessary documents include:

• Passport
• Details of nomination, like the information in the nominator's passport
• Form 1000 - Nomination for Global Talent

Proof of:

• Qualifications
• Status of employment
• Income
• Globally recognized record of achievement in the specified sector​

EOIs remain active until there is an outcome. The candidates need not submit multiple EOIs.​

If the candidate meets the parameters of the program, they will receive an invitation through email. It includes an individualized invitation reference identifier and an invitation code.

Step 2: Apply for the visa

After the candidate receives an invitation code and invitation reference identifier, they are required to submit a Global Talent or subclass 858 visa application through ImmiAccount.

The nominator of the international individual is required to have a reputation in the same field as the candidate. 'National reputation' refers to the opinion of the industry community or public of Australia that the nominator is a leader and has a record of excellence in their field.

The applicant cannot change their nominator after they have submitted the application for a Global Talent visa.

Nominators provide proof of the following:

• Status of the candidate in Australia
• Hold a national reputation in their field
• Achievements and international reputation on Nomination for Global Talent - ​​Form 1000

The candidate does not require a nominator if they have an endorsement by the Special Envoy for Global Business and Talent Attraction of the Prime Minister’s cabinet. ​They will be contacted by the Global Talent Visa Program if they have been endorsed by the Special Envoy.

Costs involved for Global Talent Visa

The visa application charges are 4,180 AUD for the primary applicant, 2,095 AUD for every secondary applicant aged 18 or more, and 1,045 AUD for every secondary applicant aged below 18.

The candidates who are of age at least 18 at the time of submitting the application and do not possess the required skills in the English language are required to pay for 2nd installment to fulfill the English skills required to be granted the visa.
