  • Saskatchewan strengthens its base categories and subcategories of immigration programs.
  • These combined enhanced categories of SINP are now called Saskatchewan Express Entry under Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).
  • The candidates are made eligible under 4 types of immigration streams under this enhanced SINP.
  • 4 types of immigration categories are International Skilled Worker Category Entrepreneur and Farm Category, International Graduate Entrepreneur Category, & Saskatchewan Experience category.
  • Depending on the category of the stream the candidate is eligible for, the application procedure varies.
  • The candidates with the highest ranking points will receive ITAs during Saskatchewan Express Entry draws and have to apply for Canada PR later in 60 days.

What is Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program?

Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program is a province-based immigration program for immigrants. Recently, Saskatchewan-PNP enhanced some of its subcategories & base sub-categories immigration programs.

The enhanced category is the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program which has been created to address the economic and workforce market needs of the province.

The enhanced subcategory is called Saskatchewan Express Entry under the International Skilled Worker category.

 What are the categories available for skilled workers?

Candidates who are planning to immigrate to Saskatchewan can choose from the following four categories:

  • International Skilled Worker category,
  • Saskatchewan Experience category,
  • Entrepreneur and Farm category,
  • International Graduate Entrepreneur category.

Who can apply for the Saskatchewan sub-categories?

The International Skilled Worker (ISW) category is designed especially for skilled workers who are willing to live & work in Saskatchewan.

Fresher’s can opt for all the categories except for the Saskatchewan Experience category.

Whereas experienced individuals can choose all four categories to immigrate to Saskatchewan.

How does the Saskatchewan-PNP work?

  • To immigrate to Saskatchewan, the candidates need to identify the stream category & sub-category for which they are eligible.
  • The procedure to apply for each category varies as their requirements are different.
  • For some of the category cases, the candidate needs to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) as a pre-application step.
  • Depending on the information the candidate provides, during the EOI submission, will be given a score.
  • The enhanced sub-category, the Saskatchewan Express Entry system is designed to be aligned with the Federal government system.
  • This manages the PR applications and provides the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) for the candidates.
  • Candidates who possess the highest ranks will be invited for PR during the Express Entry draws.
