The Finnish Immigration Service announced major changes to the processing time of work visas and other permits. Amidst the ongoing workforce shortage in the country, Finland has streamlined the application processes for several visas. The processing time for foreign workers with special expertise and skills has drastically reduced. Foreign workers with higher education qualifications, expertise gained through professional experience, and a monthly income of at least €3,600 can now have their work permit applications processed within 9 days.
