If you are interested in moving to Finland and planning to apply for visa, here’s an update for you. Finland has decided to raise the prices for many immigration services. This includes processing of residence permit applications for entrepreneurs and employees and applications for citizenship.
The decision will become effective from January 1, 2021. The decision has been made to cover the costs incurred by the Immigration Agency for visa application processes.
However, the fees for electronic applications for a residence permit for entrepreneurs and employees won’t change. The fees for processing applications for citizenship will increase as follows:

Citizenship Application on paper | €590 | €520 |
Electronic application for citizenship | €460 | €420 |
The charges for a student residence permit, the first one, will remain unchanged in 2021. This will be €450 for an application on paper and €350 for an electronic application.
Other types of residence permit applications for the first one of its typewill be charged €520 for each application on paper and €470 for each electronic application.
