  • The Government of Finland announced a cut down on the application fees for permanent resident applications.
  • Finland will implement the changes in the application fee starting 1 January 2024.
  • The PR application fee for online applications will be charged €220, while the offline applications will charge €270.

Reduction in Finnish PR Application fees

The Finnish Immigration Service announced a decrease in visa application fees for permanent residency. The revised processing fees will be implemented starting 1 January 2024.

The changes in the application fees will be assigned to different application types to promote online application submissions.

Finland Visa Application Fees

The online application fee for the first residence permit for an employer person is set at €540, while the renewal of a residence permit card costs around €170.

Finnish visa applications

The Finnish Immigration Service stated that the visa applications pending till 31 December 2023 will have the previous application fees. The applications already in the processing stage will remain ineffective of the recent changes.

As per Stats, on average, 1,400 applications were being submitted weekly. The application intake was comparatively high compared to 2018-2021.
