• The Express Entry draw held on August 3, 2022, had 2,000 immigration candidates invited.

On August 3, 2022, 2,000 Canada immigration candidates were invited through an Express Entry draw to apply for a Canada PR visa. Here are the details of the draw:

Candidates who received an ITAs (invitation to apply) on or after June 29, 2021, have to submit their application for a Canada PR visa within 60 days.

In case the candidates decline an ITA, they will be re-entered into the Express Entry candidate pool. They would be considered for selection in future rounds of invitations for Canada immigration if they still have their eligibility intact.

The cut-off score in Express Entry draws varies from one round of invitations to another. If the candidate’s score isn’t high enough, they might not receive an invitation to apply for Canada PR again. In certain cases, they may have to take steps to receive an ITA yet again. They may thus have to:

• Update their Express Entry profile
• Improve their score

There isn’t any guarantee that they will be invited to apply for Canada PR again. However, if they choose to re-enter the pool after declining an ITA, it won't affect whether or not they are invited to apply at a later date.

If they don't decline an invitation and they fail to apply within 60 days, the ITA will meet its expiry. Their profile will be removed from the Express Entry candidate pool. To be considered in future Express Entry draws they will have to:

• Meet the eligibility criteria
• Fill out and submit a new profile to the express entry system
• Be accepted into the pool again
