Express Entry, Business and Labour candidates invited in PEI draw in Canada

The province of Prince Edward Island in Canada conducted the draw for its Provincial Nominee Program on the 20^th of September, 2018. 124 invitations were issued to candidates from the Express Entry, Business Impact, and Labour Impact streams.

116 Invitations to Apply (ITA) out of the total of 124 were issued to Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates. Candidates who receive a nomination from the province get an additional 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking Score in the Express Entry System.

Overseas candidates who have an offer of employment from the province of PEI with support from a PEI employer can apply under the PEI Labour Impact Category, as per CIC News. There are 3 sub-categories in this stream:

• Skilled Worker
• Critical Worker
• International Graduate

8 invitations were issued by PEI under the Business Impact Category. The minimum score was 152 on the Business Impact Category’s point’s grid. This was the last draw for this category as this stream is permanently closed now. The province of Prince Edward Island will continue to accept applications from prospective entrepreneurs under the Work Permit Stream.

To apply under the Prince Edward Island PNP, eligible candidates must first create an Expression of Interest profile.
