The country has updated the income levels for foreign workers looking to pursue work in Denmark. Starting October 1, 2024, the income requirements will be increased for those applying for residence and work permits. Foreigners must now have at least 10% higher salaries to qualify for a Danish work permit. The measures to hike the income levels are to address and analyze whether skilled foreign workers in the country are treated equally with equal pay as the local residents.
Individuals who applied for a work permit before and after September 30, 2024, will have their applications evaluated based on two different income statistics.
