So, November 2020 is coming to an end and we would love to look back at how Canada immigration performed at the provincial level during the month.
PNP draws are held by Canadian provinces to welcome skilled foreign immigrants to arrive and help meet the human resource requirements in the respective labor markets. It’s also a pathway for those who love to work in Canada and go on to become permanent residents in Canada.
Let’s look at the major PNP draws that were conducted in Canada in November 2020.
Ontario PNP – November 26, 2020
On November 26, 2020, Ontario opened its Employer Job Offer: International Student stream for a PNP draw. The stream targeted candidates with a job offer from an employer in Ontario. But the draw was abruptly closed due to technical issues.
British Columbia PNP - November 24, 2020
BC PNP held a PNP draw on November 24, 2020, in which 360 invitations were issued to apply for a provincial nomination. 31 jobs were excluded from the list of jobs for which the candidates were given offers.
Prince Edward Island PNP – November 19, 2020
In a round of PNP draw held by PEI on November 19, 2020, 254 candidates from the skilled worker and entrepreneur categories were invited. 221 invites were issued to Express Entry and Labour Impact candidates. 33 invitations went to Business Impact candidates.
Saskatchewan PNP– November 19, 2020
On November 19, 2020, Saskatchewan held an EOI draw that invited 551 candidates from 2 streams:
Manitoba PNP – November 19, 2020
Manitoba issued LAAsto 196 candidates who were skilled workers and international students. The candidates were invited through 3 MPNP streams:
British Columbia – November 17, 2020
BC PNP invited 76 immigration candidates who were skilled workers and international students. The draw was a BC PNP Tech Pilot draw. Candidates were invited through 4 streams:
The minimum score required for each stream was 80 points.
Ontario – November 12, 2020
Ontario issued 443 NOIs in its November 12 PNP draw to Express Entry candidates. The draw was conducted through the Human Capital Priorities stream. NOIs were issued to candidates with CRS scores ranging from 469 to 477 points.
The NOC codes targeted in the draw included healthcare, sales, advertising, and finance.
British Columbia – November 10, 2020
BC invited 358 immigration candidates in a draw held by BC PNP on November 10, 2020. 31 jobs were excluded from the list of jobs for which the candidates were given offers.
Manitoba – November 5, 2020
MPNP issued 205 LAAs to skilled workers and international students on November 5, 2020. Invitations were issued to candidates through 3 MPNP streams:
Ontario – November 4, 2020
OINP held a PNP draw on November 4, 2020, that issued 210 NOIs to immigration candidates. Their required CRS scores ranged from 452 to 470.
The candidates qualified for the draw had a minimum CLB of 6 in English and 7 in French.
Ontario – November 4, 2020
OINP issued 516 NOIs in a draw that was conducted through its Express Entry Skilled Trades stream. The candidates had to have CRS scores ranging from 436 to 470.
Saskatchewan – November 3, 2020
Saskatchewan immigration held an EOI draw on November 3, 2020. SINP issued 534 invitations across 2 streams:
The minimum score prescribed for candidates in both streams was 68.
British Columbia – November 3, 2020
BC PNP Tech Pilot draw held on November 3, 2020, issued 76 invitations to skilled workers and international graduates. Invitations were sent through 4 streams:
The minimum score required of candidates was 80 points.
