Canada works on big numbers to meet huge Canada immigration target

If you are already aware of Canada immigration levels plan 2020-2023, you know that Canada is determined to achieve ambitious targets like 401,000 new immigrants in 2021. In 2022, this target will increase to 411,000 and 421,000 in 2023.

Despite the difficulties of the COVID-19 pandemic, Canada has done a great job with regard to its immigration. This is apparent from the fact that Canada welcomed 46,315 new immigrants to the country. The country is already aiming for more!

In 2021, as yet, Canada has had 313,700 immigrants. A large chunk of these newcomers consisted of those who were present in the country already on temporary visas.

In the months between January and October 2021, there was an average influx of 31,370 newcomers per month. This average is unprecedently high when compared to recent years.

Canada’s ambitious immigration target for the year 2021 can be achieved with 43,650 new immigrants per month in November and December.

Pulling off the current level of success in Canada immigration was a feat the country managed after taking the following steps:

• A huge immigration draw was conducted in February 2021 in which 27,332 invitations were issued to CEC candidates. 90% of these candidates were TFWs engaged in work in Canada.
• A new TR to PR pathway for Canada immigration was opened via which, 90,000 additional immigrants were aimed for. These included international students, healthcare workers, and other essential workers, all present in Canada on a temporary basis.
