The Canadian Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship, Sean Fraser has announced enhancements to the Parents & Grandparents Super Visa program. The following are the changes due to be implemented from July 4, 2022:
The Canada Super Visa has been instrumental in reuniting Canada PR visa holders/Canadian citizens with their parents and grandparents since 2011. Under the Canada Super Visa, they can visit Canada for longer periods of time.

What is Super Visa?
The Super Visa is a multiple-entry visa. It has a validity of up to 10 years. Up till now, it has permitted parents and grandparents of Canada PR/Canadian citizens to live in Canada for 2 years at a time. Due to this, the Canada super visa has been more beneficial than any other multiple-entry visitor visa. Other regular visitor visas provide a stay length of 6 months or less.
The new announcement has reiterated Canada’s commitment to bring and keep families together.
