On January 21, 2021, IRCC held an Express Entry draw issuing 4,626 ITAs for Canada PR to candidates of the CEC class. The CRS cut-off score prescribed for candidates in the draw was 454.
With regular draws inviting Express Entry candidates, IRCC is on track to achieve its Immigration Levels Plan target for the 2021-2023 period. Canada is expecting around 110,000 new Express Entry immigrants annually to reach the country. The country is well aware that these immigrants who are skilled and resourceful will be instrumental in rebuilding and strengthening the country’s economy.
To participate in the Express Entry immigration draw, a candidate has to first check which of the 3 immigration programs suit them best: FSTP, FSWP, or CEC. Then the candidate can add their profile to the Express Entry pool by submitting it via IRCC’s website. In the pool, they get ranked by CRS and score them based on education, age, work experience, and language proficiency in English/French.
These candidates could be sent ITAs for a Canada PR visa based on the CRS cut-off requirements and the policy goals of IRCC.
