Canada has given its approval to a vaccine for COVID-19 developed by Pfizer &BioNTech Manufacturing. In a statement released by Health Canada, it’s said that approval has been given to the vaccine based on credible evidence for its safety, effectiveness, and quality.
The terms and conditions Health Canada placed on the vaccine-making company included provisions for providing the following:
Canada has now become the third country in the world to authorize a vaccine. The other 2 countries are Bahrain and the UK. By the end of 2020, up to 249,000 doses of the vaccine could arrive in Canada. In early 2021, more vaccine will arrive in the millions in the country.
Canada immigration is sure to get a boost out of this development. Canada has already shown resilience in immigration and care for the people of the country in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. The country seems right on track to achieve the 2021-2023 immigration level plans by encouraging Canada PR applicants through its many federal and provincial immigration draws. The country aims at getting 400,000 immigrants per year. The high number of projected immigrants is to compensate for the reduction in immigrant numbers due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
