As Canadian government hasn’t reached the cap for the Home Support Worker Pilot, the country is still accepting applications for Canada PR under this pilot. Another pilot called “Home Child Care Provider Pilot” is currently filled. It will be reopened for applications on January 1, 2021.
Those who have submitted applications to either of these Pilots will be notified by the IRCC when the processing begins. The COVID-19 situation may delay the notification process.
Both Pilots are 5-year programs that allow caregivers and family members to arrive in Canada and apply for PR. One of these Pilots can be used by foreign nationals who have been offered jobs to work in Canada as caregivers to apply for immigration.
