As Canada is going through a phase of surviving the effects of COVID-19 and reviving its economy and Canada immigration. The major contributors to a post-COVID-19 revival seem to be immigrants and international students.

There are many reasons that back this inference.

  • The Canadian institutions, especially educational institutions, are well-equipped to train newcomers and local Canadians. With their training, the migrants will integrate smoothly into the country’s labor market. These institutions attract foreign candidates. They help the candidates empower themselves to find the best job opportunities in Canada. It's them who will contribute to the country’s economy, benefitting mutually in the process.
  • International students are exempt from Canada’s travel restrictions. Even with the COVID-19 situation, they were granted Canada study visa. These are the candidates they attract to add to Canada’s workforce in time.
  • Even before the pandemic struck, Canada already had a clear and active agenda of inviting more and more skilled and potential immigrants to study and work in Canada. The pandemic has only fuelled the need further and kept the country open for more new immigrants.
  • Newcomers are given access to short-term programs to prepare them to join the labor force of any province sooner. These trainees include TFWs who could even be seasonal workers, especially working in the food industry and allied services like transport.
  • The main pathways of Express Entry and PNPs have been open all throughout the pandemic situation. Skilled workers have been invited via immigration draws, majorly for economic class programs like FSWP, FSTP, and CEC.

Canada is still going strong on the path of welcoming more Canada PRs, who will become the essentially transformative population of the country. It’s them who will help the country achieve greater goals and more prosperity in the years to come.
